Bob has a lifetime involvement with the real estate industry. His father owned a company that marketed many of the finer old homes in the Baltimore area, and Bob worked with him on the weekends and in the Summers, and also assisted his partner, an MAI appraiser, with hundreds of projects. After earning a degree in economics from Princeton University, he spent a year working in the investment banking industry in New York before relocating to Denver where he applied what he had learned to get up to speed quickly on homes in the older Denver neighborhoods. For years Bob has taught the 'Magic & Mystery of Old Homes' for other agents at the Denver Board of Realtors®, and for various neighborhood and community groups. Bob has written numerous articles on the architectural styles and the structural and mechanical components of Denver's old homes for real estate and community newsletters.
Bob works with his wife, Chris. A true team effort helps account for 85% of their business coming from satisfied clients who've come back again and again, and who refer their friends and family members. Chris Chase had eight years experience selling homes in the Denver area before combining efforts with Bob. Their combined strengths and knowledge assure good communication, personal attention, and an exceptionally smooth transaction.
Bob and Chris moved to a high-rise condo years ago, which simplified their lives and allowed them to devote the necessary amount of time to their profession. This move also opened up another area of specialization. After serving for six years as board president in their homeowners' association, Bob has pretty much seen it all. Moving to a condominium community should not be undertaken lightly!
Bob is a student of Denver's history, and has followed closely the evolution of Denver's residential areas beginning with the impact of Mayor Speer's vision for "Paris on the Platte.” He has embraced the infill movement within Denver's old neighborhoods as well as the emergence of Denver's new-urbanist master-planned communities including Riverfront Park, Stapleton, Bradburn Village, Lowry, and others.
